G'day!
Welcome to my website! I'm Tyler, I'm 20, and I'm an avid musician and filmmaker.
I pride myself in writing, arranging and studying music, as well as directing and editing short films. Feel free to have a look around the site and find some cool stuff about me and what I do.
Music Background
Ever since the age of three, I have always had a passion for music. Growing up listening to the likes of The Wiggles and Hi-5, along with John Farnham and Jesus Christ Superstar. This diversity in music has carried with me up to now. Over my 13 years of schooling, I have had almost 7 years of piano lessons, 2 years of saxophone lessons, along with being briefly guided in my singing; I have also managed to teach myself guitar, bass, drums, and ukulele in that time. During my schooling life, I have been part of many musical performances and groups, beginning with Choir in 2011, as well as 8 years in TOPS (chapel service), assisting higher years in their HSC Music performances, as well as multiple years on multiple instruments at our talent nights (MADD Night). Outside of school events, I was the Musical Director for VTP’s Greatest Showman concert, playing at my church since age 4 (2007), and have also played keys at a Mother’s Day high tea function.

When I was growing up, I was heavily into stage magic and illusions; this meant that I was always wanting to know how an effect was done. This in turn caused my absolute fascination with filmmaking. I always wanted to know how a visual effect was achieved, then sometimes even try to make a copy of it myself. Despite my lack of formal training in filmmaking or editing, it hasn’t stopped me from getting a weekly job at my local church, in which I run the Sunday morning live-stream, then take the sermon and edit it further in post, releasing it the next day as a stand-alone video. I have also been offered some other jobs in the past, including an ad for a local business, a scavenger hunt for a youth group, and even a bulk job of promoting a recent musical with multiple different videos. All this to say, I have had a vast experience when it comes to filmmaking, and so am ready to take on your next task!
